Support Worker Roles

 

Our Support Workers are committed and passionate about changing the lives of people with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism, enabling them to live fulfilled lives and develop their skills. Support Workers work a range of shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays, and may be required to provide sleep in support. Some of the duties of the Support Worker include supporting individuals with activities in the community, household tasks, personal care, learning new skills, maintaining relationships, and managing health conditions. Our Support Workers support individuals to make informed choices and lead the lives they want to live. 
 
Salary: Starting from £11.44 per hour depending on location

Grants Fundraising Lead

 
This role will lead the development and successful rollout of Aurora Nexus Fundraising and Engagement strategy, annual plans, generation of income and key project work which aim to deliver significant net income growth and increase awareness by maximising local and regional support. This post will support Aurora Nexus with its grant fundraising activity as an essential income stream for the charity, including managing and monitoring the bidding process to maximise the success rate of applications. The post holder will also monitor and undertake all reporting on funding to others both within and outside the organisation. 
 
Salary: £30,000 per annum

Trustee Roles

 

We are currently recruiting for a new chair and a number trustees to join our creative and committed board. As a trustee you will be central in setting our future direction and strategy, with your skills and governance enabling us to lay strong foundations for the future. You will lead the charity and decide how it is run. Being a trustee means making decisions that will impact on people’s lives. You will use your skills and experience to support Aurora Nexus and help us achieve our aims.

Salary: The role of Trustee is not accompanied by any financial remuneration, although expenses for travel and childcare or other carers responsibilities may be claimed.
